Education Department

Seventh-day Adventists believe in great schools because they know that getting a well-rounded Christian education is a wonderful way to fall in love with Jesus and prepare for a life of service. The Education Department oversees the international Adventist network of 9,489 schools, colleges and universities, with 111,360 teachers and 2,044,709 students in 115 countries. The department promotes this huge network of schools. It also provides quality control to make sure Adventist educational institutions surpass expectations and provide a great start to the lives of students.

Our Staff

Jones Osei Wusu

Jones Osei Wusu is the head of the Education Department, with a passion for learning and growth, he aims to enrich the members of the church, both young and old, to reach academic excellence.

He is also a significant part of the Treasury Department and uses his talents of organization there as well. Jones Osei Wusu has been a member of Columbus Ghanaian SDA Church since April 2022. In this short amount of time he has fully engrossed himself in the church’s work.

He is married and has 5 children. His favorite Bible verse is Matthew 15:9, which states, “And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.” With this in his heart, Jones Osei Wusu truly works to follow God’s doctrines, and not man’s.
